Özet
Bu çalýÅŸmada; GATS sürecinde, ulusal ve uluslararasý ölçekte rekabet koÅŸullarýnda yaÅŸanan dönüÅŸümler ýÅŸýðýnda Türkiye’deki mimarlýk ofislerinin mevcut durumu deðerlendirilmektedir. Avrupa ve Amerika’daki mimarlýk ofisleri, mimarlýk hizmetleri ve mimarýn formasyonu ana hatlarýyla incelenmiÅŸ, Türkiye’ deki mimarlýk ofislerinin dünü bugünü ve yarýný anlatýlarak, GATS sürecindeki durum aktarýlmaya çalýÅŸýlmýÅŸtýr.
Global anlamda mimari tasarým ofislerinin incelendiði ikinci bölümde, Avrupa ve ABD’deki mimarlýk meslek pratiði ve meslek odalarýyla iliÅŸkileri aktarýlmýÅŸtýr. Mimarlarýn mesleði icra edebilmeleri için sahip olmalarý gereken nitelikler ve bunlarýn geliÅŸtirilmesi için uluslararasý platformlarda yapýlan dönüÅŸümler açýklanmýÅŸtýr. Ayrýca, Türkiye’deki mevcut yapý, GATS ve AB çerçevesinde yaÅŸanan deðiÅŸimler ve Türkiye’nin bu deðiÅŸime uyum süreci ortaya konmuÅŸtur.

Yapýlan güncel çalýÅŸmalar, mimarlýk eðitimi, meslek unvaný kazanma ve mesleðin sürekli geliÅŸmesi konularýnýn üzerinde durulmuÅŸtur.
Son bölümde ise GATS sürecinde Türkiye’de mimarlýk alanýnda yapýlan dönüÅŸümler; Avrupa ve ABD’deki güncel durum ýÅŸýðýnda deðerlendirilmektedir. Türkiye genelinde, mimarlýk mesleðindeki eksikliklerin giderilmesine yönelik olarak gelecekte yapýlacak olan çalýÅŸmalara katký saðlamasý hedeflenen öneriler aktarýlmaktadýr.
Summary
In this study, the current status of Turkish architectural offices during the GATS process has been evaluated under consideration of the recent transformation of the competition on both the national and international scale. Architectural practices in Europe and USA have been investigated with respect to the services being provided and the training of the architects; the past and current circumstances in Turkish architectural offices have been enlightened and the status during the GATS process has been clarified.
In the second section, where the architectural design offices are being investigated from a global perspective, the relations between architectural practices and chambers are being explained. The necessary requirements for architects to be able to practice their profession and the transformation which has been carried out to develop these qualifications on international platforms has been clarified further. Moreover, the current structure in Turkey, the changes experienced during the accession period to the EU and the GATS process, and Turkey’s level of adaptation to these changes has been expressed.
In the third section, data regarding the general conditions of Turkish architectural offices has been presented and an evaluation has been carried out. The current status of the acquisition and exertion of authority in the architectural profession has been explained. The planned arrangements have been listed. Emphasis was given to the current studies, architectural education, acquisition of the occupational title and continuous improvement of the profession.
In the last section, the transformation in the field of architecture in Turkey during the GATS process has been evaluated under consideration of the current conditions in Europe and USA. Suggestions to contribute to the architectural profession in Turkey, which are targeted to overcome deficiencies in this field in the future, have been presented.
